Week 15- Seffner Ward

Well, this week was interesting. I was able to work with members a lot more and my challenge for each of you is to contact the missionaries in your ward and offer to go with them to teach. The testimony of people in the ward is irreplaceable. We have taught Heidi everything she needs to know and she is keeping our commitments and a study journal (how many of you keep a study journal as you study daily?)

I finished really reading the Book of Mormon again start to finish and found that it has given me additional strength to testify to people I meet that I know that it is true. May each of us continue to read study and then to ask if it is true often to renew our own testimonies. We got to go on exchanges this week, I stayed in our area but was in charge of planning and finding meaningful activities to do when all of the plans that we had fell through.

Work to get the spirit of missionary work in your life. Study and use preach my gospel and FEED the missionaries.

Lots of Love
Make good choices

Week 14- Seffner

Howdy,

This week has been a good one, we started teaching another investigator and she is amazing. She came to church yesterday, and since she is 15 we have the young women involved with fellowshipping her. She was a referral from a member in the ward. Referrals are the best, so I challenge all of you to "LIGHT" the way. Identify who you know that could benefit from the gospel in their life and do something about it. Love you all, hope you have a wonderful week.

Week 13- Seffner

Hello Family from a different world and a few wonderful friends

This week has been slow and great. We set a date for two of our investigators to be baptized. Yay.... Their baptism will be on Aug 10. Looking forward to working with that. We had transfers and nothing in our companionship changed...well, unless if you count things, we were given an amazing new tool to help us with the rain. It is white and has four wheels and an engine. So grateful to not be on car share anymore and to have the car full time. We have experienced quite a bit of lightning and rain. I am now the designated driver since sister Piepgrass is too old in mission age to drive. Did you know that you aren't allowed to drive your last transfer? Well, it is great except for when the rain is coming down so hard that even with the wipers on full blast I could hardly see. We get place to place a lot dryer now. We found a couple of part-member families that are willing to let us teach them and hopefully that will help them all be prepared to more fully accept the gospel into their lives.

One of our new investigators is really wanting for her son to be baptized for the dead so I am grateful for the fact that I taught family history in the singles ward so that I can help her to prepare her family history and accomplish that for her son.

I have found that a lot of the experiences that we have in our lives prepare us for times or trials ahead of us. I encourage you all to do as Nephi directed to Press forward with steadfastness in Christ. Feast upon the word, study in your scriptures each day and talk with our heavenly Father he wants to hear from all of us often. Love you all and hope to hear of your adventures soon.

Week 11- LIGHT

Week 11

Highlight of our week would be teaching at church yesterday. I got to teach relief society and sister piepgrass got to teach sunday school. they both seemed to go week but there was a ton of people there even in gospel priciples we had 20 people and there was almost 40 in relief society but it was about double what it usually is.

I gave my lesson on being better missionaries.

Members L I G H T the way!

L- Love
I- Identify
G- gain trust
H- have them over to meet the missionaries
T- Take time to testify and teach with the missionaries.

I used alot of quotes and scriptures to teach. Every member a Missionary. What have you done to be a missionary this week?

Love
What is missionary work all about it is all about love, love of the gospel, love of the savior, and love of fellow man.
Why do we share the gospel 1 Nephi 8:12 lehi was desirous to share the love of the Lord. What are the two great commandments Matthew 22:37-39

President Uchtdorf said "love is the guiding light that illuminates the disciples path and fills our daily walk with life, meaning, and wonder.. Love is the way of the disciple

Identify
Use the 7 question Quiz to find out who you know and then pray and fast to know who is ready to make that next step to come unto Christ.

Elder Anderson
Brothers and Sisters, as surely as the Lord has inspired more missionaries to serve, he is also awakening the minds and opening the hearts of more good people to recieve his missionaries. You already know them, they are your family and live in your neighborhood, they walk past you on the street, sit by you in school and connnect with you online. You too are an important part of this unfolding miracle.... I promise you as you pray to know with whom to speak, names and faces will come into your mind. Words to Speak will be given in the very moment you need them.

Gain Trust
Get to know them serve them and love them.
Mosiah 18:9 mourn with those that mourn and comfort those in need of comfort and stand as a witness of God at all time in all things and all places....

The apostle peter said be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh.... a reason for the hope that is in you. 1 peter 3:15

Have them over to meet the full time missionarys

Missionarys love food they love to meet people so why dont you break the ice and combine the two.

At the leadership training elder holland said that we need to invite others to come unto Christ. that an Invitation bourne for our love of others will never be seen as offensive.

Elder anderson
A person's lack of interest need not diminish our bonds of friendship and love, whether or not the invitation is accepted as you invite others to "come and see" you will feel the approval of the Lord and with that approval, an added measure of faith to share your beliefs again and again

Take time to teach and testify with the missionaries.

Missionary work has always been a four step process
 1. finding people to teach
 2. teaching those people
 3. baptizing worthy converts
 4. fellowshipping and strengthening new converts.

president hinkley taught that when members introduce their friends there is an instant support system someone they can turn to when they have a question and need an answer and the missionaries are not around.

There is absolutely no point in doing missionary work unless we hold on to the fruits of that effort. the two must be inseparable. these converts are precious. every convert is a son or daughter of God. Every convert is a great and serious responsibility. It is an absolute imperative that we look after those who have become a part of us.

We all know members who aren't with us let us go out and find those members, share our joy with our neighbors and friends,

For there are many yet on the earth... who are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it (D&C 123:12)
